Kaneka North America, based outside of Houston, Texas, is committed to supporting the local community and furthering the research, education, and awareness of heart health. Kaneka North America is a proud member of the local community and strives to make a positive contribution through community engagement efforts.
The Kaneka Foundation
The Kaneka Foundation was formed in 2014 as a non-profit organization. The Foundation works to promote charitable events that advance health, education, environment, and social stewardship. In addition to donating to several foundations, such as the Benicia Education Foundation, Baker Ripley, and the Armand Bayou Nature Center, the Kaneka Foundation holds community events like the Kaneka Day of Caring, which brings together non-profit organizations to share ideas, their passion, and their mission with others.
Day on The Bayou
As part of Kaneka North America’s commitment to the community, the company organized a “Day on The Bayou” event to clean up the Bayou area. Together, Kaneka employees and their families cleaned the banks and tributaries of Armand Bayou, as well as the nearby park.
American Heart Association Heart Walk
As a dedicated advocate of the importance of heart health, Kaneka North America participates in the annual American Heart Association Bay Area Heart Walk. Over the last 8 years, Kaneka has raised over $155,000 for the American Heart Association by participating in and supporting the annual event.
Holiday Food Drive
To support the local community, Kaneka participates in a Holiday Food Drive. Through these efforts, the team has donated thousands of cans of non-perishable food items to local food banks and pantries.
